This one comes home from school today with a bomb shell. While were sitting on the front step discussing his 2nd day of kindergarten, he sheepishly discloses, “I fell in love today!” Second day on the job and apparently, he has fallen for a girl in his class.
Me: “Is she cute?”
Him: “Yeah.”
Me: “Is she nice?”
Him: “Yeah.”
Me: “How did this happen?”
Him: “Well, we were sitting at the table doing Play doh and she stood next to me and I’m in love.”
Sparks flew over Play doh… must be the real deal.

These images were the result of weeks of planning, waiting and rescheduling due to weather and being so swamped with work and life. It lasted all of about 15 minutes before I packed it in, furious and frustrated at this little guy for being so difficult. I know you other photographers won’t be able to relate! He, he! Photographing one’s own child can sometimes be, well… a nightmare. I’ve been desperately trying to get this done with him so I can finally order my canvas gallery wraps of the kids. We’re going BIG with them…. like 40″ in length. So, it has to be the *right* image. Needless to say, we will be doing a retake picture day. These were the only images I even remotely liked….but not at 40″.
