Lame. That’s what we are. Every year, same thing… lame. Halloween time rolls around and despite my best intentions, I never decorate, make cookies, get festive in any way. Aiden carved a single, sad little pumpkin that his teacher gave him. We barely got Juliet a costume in time and when we did it was too small. Aiden went with an old costume he received for Christmas two years ago. (Although I have to say his Santa suit rocks!) And here’s the kicker… the kids trick or treated at exactly 3 houses, two of which were family. BLARGH! We rank right at the top of the lackluster spirit chart. It’s just been that kind of year. I always thought I’d be one of those moms that went all out decorating every inch of the house for each holiday, creating a sense of excitement and wonder for the kids and making the special days of the year stretch into weeks of activities and treats and projects. But, no. I AM LAME. There’s always next year I suppose. Regardless that we were such halloweenies this year, I still think these two are about as cute as they come.![]()

It was a happy accident that their costumes matched.
