Yay! I’m super excited to be featured on The Maternal Lens blog. Not only is it quite an honor to be recognized for my work by this awesome blog, but to be in the same company as some of the other amazing photographers they’ve featured is truly an incredible privilege. Thank you to Shannon for selecting me for this sweet shout-out!! Please hop over and read the interview here and check out their very cool blog.
Just wrapping things up (literally and figuratively) for Christmas. Just two days away and I’m SO ready for it to be here. This is the first year Juliet seems to remotely understand what’s going on. And Aiden… well, he’s been on pins and needles for weeks, trying to talk us into opening *just one* present every. single. day. The kid is relentless. As I look around my messy, cluttered house that is always in a state of chaos with Juliet’s incessant destruction, I feel heavy just thinking about adding more toys and books, dollies and games to this jumbled abode we call home. My mind doesn’t function well in clutter, which explains why I’ve been rather crazy since the kids came on the scene six years ago. Jason and I have already decided a nice 4-5 days of purging and reevaluating will be necessary this spring. Now, if I can just pawn my darling buds off onto my parents for a week, we will be in business…. nudge-nudge, wink-wink… mom & dad!
So I leave you with one of the images from a new fine art series that I’ve been working on. Amidst all the hubbub of the holiday season, the noise, the commotion, toys strewn about, busy moments and stress of getting it all done, I wish you quiet moments of true solace and peace.
