OK, OK, I know. This post is only about 3 weeks behind. I’ve been itching to post about the Wine Country Photography Workshop for so long. After returning from California, I’ve been trying to play catch up in every department of my business and life. I’m just now making headway with that. So, the workshop…. what can I say? It was a pretty awesome time. We had the most amazing group of women that came from all over the country: North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Alaska, California. We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather (almost too nice actually at 90º + on the shooting day). We shot the first day in downtown Healdsburg, which is a historic, boutique-like quaint little town with some fabulous locations that allowed us to shoot mid-day with real ease. For the evening, we headed out to White Oak Winery for dinner, wine tasting and winery tour and capped off the night shooting two incredible couples in a romantic and stylized 30′s & 40′s setting. If only that golden hour of light lasted a bit longer. I think all the ladies were wishing that.
Aside from shooting, editing and learning, ultimately, I do believe that the attendees walked away with some amazing new friendships and a network of genuine, photo loving gals to rely on for a lifetime, and that’s priceless. I want to give a big shout out to my endearingly quirky, lovely friend Melody White for all her hard work and for lining up a fabulous set of models for us to photograph. In addition, I would be remiss if I did not thank Lindsey Petersen for her time planning, organizing, setting up and most importantly modeling her booty off for us along side her hunky hubby. Thanks ladies for EVERYTHING.
