The question of how to edit skin to be smooth and creamy is something I hear a lot of photographers struggle with. In this editing video, I’ll show you a complete edit from start to finish demonstrating my techniques for achieving those creamy skin tones. It’s actually quite simple. Flawless Face (from the HeART & Soul Collection) is my go-to smoothing action for evening out skin texture and bringing out the creamy softness of beautiful skin. Take a look at this post (Smooth Sink Without Losing Texture) to learn how Flawless Face can easily smooth uneven skin on men as well.
In the video below you’ll see that as the final step I used and customized the action Rosehip from the Botanical Blends Collection to create a soft color-toned matte finish. I encourage you to experiment with color tones from the Botanical Blends and the Tones set inside the Creative HeART Collection to find the perfect tones for your photos. These tones can truly make a world of difference in photo editing, often giving photos the final polish they need to be fabulous. The photo below shows the same edit as the video with one extra tone called Cassia from the Botanical Blends masked onto just the edges of the background to add in the red tones. It’s often minor tonal alterations that define the signature look of great photographers.
