If you’re like me, you take a lot of outdoor photos over the summer. Most of the time, what I see with my eye in the moment is not always transferred 100% verbatim in camera. Either the skies are partially blown out due to metering for the subject, or colors are never as vibrant in camera as I remember them in person. I’ve discovered a few quick and simple editing tricks to make my summertime photos come to life. In this video, I’ll demonstrate how I easily add life and warmth to my summer photos using the action Rejoice from the Half Light Collection. I’ll also show you some tricks I use in Lightroom for recovering skies, straightening horizons, and removing distortion from my widely shot photos.
