photo exchange: crave photography ::: sheridan, wy photographer

Photo-Exchange-1

I got a wild hair the other night to see if one of my amazing photographer friends, Andee, from Crave Photography, would be up for a little photo swap challenge. We exchanged images that we had taken to let one another edit them in each of our own styles. I was blown away at what she came up with for my image. She took it in a completely different direction than I would have thought to go. To me, it has the feel of a movie poster image. I love it. Above is the image I edited of hers and below is the one she edited of mine. It was a fun break from editing my own shots. Tell us what you think! Don’t forget to check out Andee’s site. She’s got a gritty, edgy feel that I adore.

This is something we photographers don’t do a lot of, but I thought it would be interesting to include the unedited images straight out of camera, just for comparison’s sake! It’s so true that for most photographers, doing the kind of work Andee and I do, the real work doesn’t really even begin until we sit down at the computer to edit. I always enjoy before and afters… hope you will too!

OOh, I love both! Love your idea for connecting photographers too. I never thought about letting someone else edit my images. What a fun idea.

Both images are stunning and post processing is awesome. The beautiful colors you added to Andee’s image bring the photograph to life. I can stare at it all day. And vitage look that Andee added to your photograph is amazing. Tones and textures really add to this image and go so well with the background.
p.s. Thank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog, it means alot to me :)

Your work is amazing. I loved that you showed you unedited and edited work, it really shows how much work you put into your photos after the session. If you don’t mind me asking, do you have your own actions or do you use someone elses?

wow!! Both the images and the edits are gorgeous!!

Both photos are GREAT!

Well done! Both pictures are indredible! Your brother and wife look like they are advertising for the movies or a book! You both are just amazing!! What a great idea!

Wow! these are both great!!! I really love both processing! love it!

great images both! The top one is so rich and colorful. I love the textures and tone of the bottom one. It’s so interesting to see everyones post processing. I’m going to have to try that sometime!

awesome!! what a fun idea! i love them both, but, man, you rocked it!

WOW, just wow! lovely love edit.
oh, and great shots from both of you.

How fun! Love both of your edited versions – beautiful pictures!

I LOVE before and afters, and this is very interesting what the two of you did – it really shows how each photographer’s image is a work of art and unique to themselves. Great post.

what a totally cool idea! i would love to see another perspective on my own work. although, the thought of someone seeing my soocs is a little scary! I love what both of you did here!

I've been incredibly blessed to work with so many remarkable people; capturing moments in their lives and creating memories for a lifetime. Curious what a session with me is like? Read what past clients had to say about their experience.
