Poor neglected blog. It feels like I fell off the map this past week. Life simply got in the way of work and blogging. So here I am, trying to get back in the saddle. Juliet has been suffering from the croup this week. Thank you daycare. As anyone knows, having a sick child pretty much puts everything else on the back burner. Bad weather and more sickness forced me to postpone two shoots this week, which in retrospect, with Juliet being sick, was a good thing.
In addition, this week has been filled with a lot of discussion and planning for a huge upcoming event that will be announced very shortly! For all those who have been emailing me about the mentoring and my post processing secrets, this one will be for you! It’s a BIGGIE! Stay tuned for that announcement within the week. Also, I’m curious who all is going to WPPI this year? I’d love to try and meet up while we’re there. I know Shannon will be there and we’ll be getting together, but anyone else attending that would like to meet up, leave me a comment and we’ll get something planned. It’s always fun to put an actual face with a blog!
These photos were taken a week or so ago when we caught a break in the weather and had a 40 something degree afternoon. Chasing an unruly toddler, that happens to think that running away from the camera is about the funniest thing ever, is SO frustrating. We didn’t give up though and all in all, I think we managed to capture some awfully cute images despite her silly shenanigans. You’ll see I’ve been playing a bit with some lighter looks (there should be three images with a caramel fade). Give me your thoughts on that. I’m constantly getting asked if I sell actions and for those lighter looks, I did actually create some actions. If there’s enough interest, you might see them as a giveaway on the blog.
