Thanks for visiting the Michelle Kane Photography Photoblog. This blog exists as a means of sharing information about my photography business, but more importantly, it's where you'll find sneak peek previews of recent sessions. I know full well, that it can be very difficult waiting for the final images from your session. This blog will serve to satiate eager clients.

I've always been saddened by the fact that while growing up, there weren't many family photos taken. So many memories have been long forgotten because they weren't captured on film. I vowed to changed that with my own children. The idea for Michelle Kane Photography was conceived along the same time as my second child. My love for photography was realized with each snap of the shutter, as I began to document the daily lives of my children. I eventually came to discover that I was able to help other families create lasting memories of their loved ones in the same way I was preserving memories of my own family.

My mission for Michelle Kane Photography is to provide innovative and inspired portraiture for people of all ages and to capture the here and now so your memories can live on forever. I am an on location, natural light photographer who delivers contemporary and artistic portraiture for the greater Sheridan, Wyoming area. Man! Wow! I’ve sort of been waiting for a post like this to come along from someone so it would inspire me to more macro photography, and I think you may have done just that. The colours & focus are both as perfect as I think is possible. Pretty remarkable. Haha, and I love how you send your husband out to get flowers so you can play. Ha!

Wow! these are AMAZING!!!! totally beautiful. what a great thing to photograph! I hear ya about the long, dreary winters. I am in N Idaho and we seriously jump up and down when we see the sun. The sun doesn’t come out for real until July around here…it is crazy, but wouldn’t trade it for nothing – love Coeur d’Alene Hope you hang in there…keep shooting those flowers! Happy New Year Michelle! I love winter when I can go skiing and when there is snow on the ground and it hasn’t gotten all muddied up. But when it’s just darn cold and bitter, I’m with ya… i don’t care for it either. These beautiful pics warmed me up!

Beautiful images Michelle. I lived in Monterey CA for 4 years and while I loved looking at the ocean out my living room window I became all too familiar with SAD! Constant fog and no sun started to get to me, my kids too! I feel the same way, winter and I are just never going to be friends. But seriously, those images are just magnificent!!!!!

Great interview, Michelle! I giggled about your daughters obsession with rubbing things in her hair and all over her body — my daughter did this a lot when she was too also, she once applied an entire tube of my husbands “hair cement” to herself while I was nursing her baby brother. I like it believe it’s the creative side of her brain that causes her to do such things!

It’s a little late, but if you happen to know of a family who won’t have much for Christmas you could really surprise them big with some of your gently used old toy items. We purged the old that way this year and have empty shelves now with room for the new. It probably meant more to me to have the clean shelves than it did to the receiving family, but ya never know. I had the kids help pick toys they wanted to give away and they went to the family’s home with us.
